Verging on the Abstract

2020 has been one hell of a year. It's been scary, confusing, overwhelming, lonely...and just very strange!


Finding words to write has been a challenge. Some days I have felt like there will never be any words again. But the funny thing is, I always seem to find more, even if they're not the ones I was expecting. And maybe that's okay. Letting go of expectations has been something I think we've all had to come to terms with this year, in one way or another.


I wrote and recorded a short piece responding to creative resilience as part of the Yarra Plenty Regional Library 2020 Booklovers Festival. It was such a pleasure to be a part of this and to think about what creative resilience means to me, and why.
